Hood emblem

Hey guys,

New poster and proud owner of an 89 Civic Hatchback for about a year now. It has new paint and is pretty good condition. Just recently got my CV joints replaced because of the clicky noise. :/

Anyway...when I bought this car, for some reason the previous owner took the Honda emblem off the hood and chunked a BMW one up there. I hate it.

I'm not really sure how it's connected, and I'm afraid to mess with it because I don't want to screw up the paint. How are these things connected? Can I get another emblem to replace it?

more then likely, id say its double sided tape, im not sure how else it could be connected, and that sucks cause that stuff is a biach to get off. try takin the hair dryer to it, the peelin it off.....sounds easy but its a pain in the ass

Try taking fishing line to remove the beamer emblem. If it is double sided tape use Goo-Gone.. Works great... Good luck getting it off....
